Meet your hosts in Slovenia
We are Teja Romšak Prevodnik and Aleš Prevodnik. We live in Kranj and together we take care of Butterfly Place, Orchid Room and Skylight Room.
Hosting grew naturally from our family homes. Today it is something we genuinely enjoy.
Two family homes that found a new purpose
Our accommodation business did not begin with a hotel or an investment property. It began with two homes that already had a long family story.
Teja previously lived at Račni Vrh in the house that is now Butterfly Place. The house is especially meaningful to her because it was built entirely by her father.
When Teja moved to Kranj to live with Aleš, the house at Račni Vrh was left empty. Rather than let a family home stand unused, we decided to give it a new purpose and welcome travellers there.
At almost the same time, our children had grown up and moved away from home. Their former rooms in our house in Kranj became guest rooms. We first opened Orchid Room and later added Skylight Room.
More than accommodation
Both places are connected to our family history, which is why we care about them personally.
Butterfly Place
A family house at Račni Vrh, built by Teja's father. After Teja moved to Kranj, the house was given a new life as a peaceful place for travellers exploring Slovenia.
Orchid Room & Skylight Room
These rooms were once part of our children's everyday family life. When they moved away, we renovated the rooms and opened them to guests visiting Kranj and Slovenia.
We listen, improve and keep making things better
Hosting is not something we consider finished. We keep improving our accommodation based on experience and on what our guests tell us.

We love travelling too
Travel is an important part of our own lives. For the last several years, we have explored Europe mostly with our motorhome.
Being guests ourselves helps us notice the small things that make a stay easier and more enjoyable. We know how valuable clear information, a comfortable bed, easy arrival and a helpful host can be after a long day on the road.
